Reinvent Yourself: Jaeger- LeCoultre Celebrates 180th Anniversary with Diane Kruger
While the idea of reinvention seems utterly liberating, how many times in a lifetime can we reinvent ourselves? Jaeger- LeCoultre believes that in every one of us lives an elegant, mystifying woman, eager to start the process of catharsis. And Diane Kruger, known to be an actress, a model and ballerina, has been chosen to represent this woman.
The grand manufacturer of timepieces celebrates its 180th anniversary this month with the launch of Venus-inspired timepieces. Each of the ranges – Reverso, 101 watch and the new Rendez-Vouz – is a refashioned version of the brand’s iconic timepieces. What makes this moment so special is a film titled ‘Reinvent Yourself’ that watches the lady through the many stages of her life.
While the collection features one-too-many breathtaking pieces, it is the Reverso Dordonnet Duetto Diane Kruger wore for the unveiling of the film that we have our eyes on. A beautiful interpretation of the 1936 model, it combines beauty and craftsmanship. Adding to the watch's appeal are the 1,250 diamonds that encrust the surface of the watch and strap.
