Week in Luxury: An Indulgent Affair
The brand that comes on top this week would have to be Hermes. For most women who are already sold on the Hermes Scarf, it would interest you to know that the French brand is releasing a line of postal stamps inspired by Hermes ‘De tout Coeur’, a Zoé Pauwels design. The collection celebrates love and is dedicated to the French postal service’s La Poste's annual Valentine’s Day ‘Heart’ collection.
Now we understand that this move caters to stamp collectors and Hermes loyalists, but Hermes seems to slowly be engaging the idea of making itself more accessible. This would explain the brand’s latest venture with ShopBazaar.com. From heels and flats, to wedges and espadrilles, Hermes let’s you choose between six designer styles, all available online. Moving on… Now we endorse the use of fragrances for reasons than stretch beyond just hygiene, face it, a person that smells good has an alluring unexplainable spell, albeit an unconscious one. But not a lot of people know what works best with their original body scent. Guess that’s why Giorgio Armani spotted the gap and opened an exclusive Prive boutique at Selfridges, London. Apart from identifying your scent, the boutique also boastfully holds Armani’s most recent innovation—the L’Or du Désert.

For a while vending machines have been pooping tooth brushes, foods, make up and even gold, and now courtesy Beverly Hills Caviar, the latest to jump into your hands in Los Angeles, is the finest caviar the United States has to offer.
Now if we move across the globe, we spot, yet another epitome of luxury at the Shangri-La in Paris. At $22,000 a night, thi 320 sq m La Suite Shangri-La overlooks iconic Paris landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the River Seine and the Grand Palais. Check in, now!
A grand finish would have to be yet another ode in gold, and this time it’s Dante's gold miniature sculptures of iconic cars over the years. Up on at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, from 10-16 December, Picasso’s Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, the Aston Martin DB5, the Ferrari 250 GTO and the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV are four of the seven models that will be up on display.
