Pick of the Week: Summer Scents

What We Like: Honey by Marc Jacobs
Why We Like It: Taking cue from his previous - the Dot - Marc Jacobs’ summer-inspired fragrance has a heart of orange blossom, fruity punch for top notes, and a base of honey, vanilla, and smoky wood.
With the goodness of all things sweet packaged into an eau de parfum, the designer has created the fragrance in collaboration with perfume house Firmenich.
Two thumbs up to the bottle, which we think is rather adorable. A direct interpretation of the base concept, the yellow gold glass centre and bee accents on the body and stopper of the bottle, screams spring and summer in its imagery.
And while the well-packaged casing will be the star of the ad campaigns and promotions, an extension of the line has already been processed with a shower gel and body lotion added to the mix.
In 30, 50 and 100 ml sprays, our only grouse is that the August release is a tad late for a Spring-Summer product launch, but then, a Marc Jacobs will sell either way, won’t it?
