Shot in New York City’s Modulightor Building, one the city’s modernist art structures, the campaign celebrates 50 years of the label in the luxury industry and its creative director Tomas Maier’s 15th year with the brand.
Famously known as the Building of Light, the edifice is an iconic work of art designed by renowned American architect Paul Rudolph. It features interwoven horizontal and vertical spaces with both large and small windows that offer depth. Hido, through his pictures, also highlights the intricate lines of the building.
Actress Lauren Hutton and Puerto Rican supermodel Joan Smalls star in this new campaign.
In the past, Bottega Veneta has collaborated artists like Viviane Sassen and Nobuyoshi Araki for its Art of Collaboration project. The project was introduced in 2001 by Tomas Maier after he took up the position as the brand’s creative head.
