San Francisco’s Michelin star restaurant, Quince, is doing the extraordinary. The restaurant is serving one of the dishes on its menu on, brace yourselves, an iPad! Here’s what you need to know.
The white truffle fritter with salt roasted celeriac, roasted porcini mushroom and chestnut puree dish, called A Dog in Search of Gold, isn’t served directly on the iPad, but on a removable plexi sheath that is washed and sanitised after every use. The iPad has a video playing showing a truffle hunt by a Romagnolo dog.
