Pininfarina’s Chivas 18 Up for Grabs in Jan ‘13
Chivas 18 by Pininfarina Level 2
A three-fold collection, the lower end line (not cheap by any standard) features the Chivas 18 encapsulated artistically within a metallic blue Pininfarina case, complete with a wooden veneer (think whisky aging in oak casks… you get the drift?) Priced at £90 a bottle and known as Level 1, the aerodynamic drop design of the casing is reminiscent of Pininfarina’s creative aesthetic in every way.
Moving upward to Level 2, the £360 version gets a lot fancier with a wooden inlay within the case, all designed to support two glasses and the limited edition bottle firmly in place. We see this one as a great gifting option—the numbered bottles, the rich metallic blue casing, the brand value… ticks all the right boxes!

The grand finish would have to be the most exclusive one of the lot, the Chivas 18 Mascherone by Pininfarina. With an oakwood frame on the inside and a rich aluminum body on the outside, this hand-assembled casing is almost as fancy as the limited edition scotch it holds.
While it will be available on order, only five of the Mascherone will be up on display across the world. If you’re wondering about the name, mascherone is the original wooden frame that was used to refine new automobile shapes… and if you’re wondering about the price, well we’re wondering about that too. Price on request it is!
Made available world over from January 2013, each bottle will feature the Pininfarina branding across not just the case, but also on the capsule and neck wrap of the Chivas 18.
