Spectacles by Snapchat
Social network application Snapchat entered the wearable technology arena with the announcement of the Spectacles. The Spectacles is a pair of glasses that enables one to record and share video clippings with Snapchat contacts. The device features a built-in video camera located on the left hand corner of the glasses, which can be activated at the tap of a button. When tapped once, the device records a 10-second video; a second tap extends it to 30 seconds. The videos shot get saved onto the phone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
The Spectacles is introduced in three colours—aqua blue, bright red, and black, and is priced at ₹8,500 approximately. However, as of now only an announcement has been made; the launch date is still under wraps.

At the Baselworld 2016, Michael Kors entered the wearable technology market with a line of luxury smartwatches called Michael Kors Access. These are Android WearTM-powered smartwatches with activity trackers and multiple time zones, designed to please fashionistas. Looking nowhere close to a smartwatch, the Access comes in colour options like rose gold, gold and navy blue with interchangeable straps. It enables the wearer to send emails, texts and use several other applications. The price for these smartwatches starts approximately from ₹23,000.

What looks like a fashionable, semi-precious stone studded ring at first is actually a smart ring that connects with one’s iOS or Android device via Bluetooth.
