Making headlines only last month was the Rs 10 lakh bicycle that Giant brought to Starkenn Sports in Bangalore, with a host of many other models of course.
Swiftly then, it seems Ducati has caught up, and will provide competition to the former, with a range of super-premium bicycles for the cycling enthusiast in India.
Backed by the billion dollar Murugappa Group, TI Cyles has provided the launchpad for Ducati, and will retail the pricey bicycles through Track & Trail outlets across the country.
If you're aged between 25 and 40, and fancy a top-of-the line cycle for sport, recreation, or exercise, then you're pretty much the target audience for these uber-cool bikes.
As for the bicycle itself, alternates of carbon and alloy frames, supported by best-in-class components make these rides a prized possession.
The build is clean and efficient, what with a tapered heatube for the internal headset, internal cable routing, and a press-fit bottom bracket set.
